Seek and Ye shall find

Easter at Grandma and Grandpa's

Reaching for the candy. She liked the mini candy bars more than the filled eggs.

The girl needs a purse. She likes to carry things over her arm like a purse.

Jane loves pigs!! The perfect Easter gift for her was 'Bedtime Olivia' and a pig book with lots of pictures of pigs and some summer pajamas.

Great Grandma's House

Jane in front of Myrtle Jane's house.

We went to take 4th generation pictures in front of the old house my Great grandfather built. It is going to be torn down soon to widen the road. I have a lot of fond memories of that old house. We loved playing in the attic. There was the tiniest, little rickety staircase that lead to the attic which had no floor. We would have to step on the floor Joices and hope we did not fall through the ceiling. My sisters and I would go and visit my great grandmother almost daily and she would play a game with us after we helped to clean her house. We played 'hide the thimble' for hours. We would hide it and then play hot and cold till the old thimble was found. We were obviously easy to entertain. Her name was Myrtle Jane. She was a sweet woman, I don't really remember my great grandfather. He hauled the rock down from the hills above Pleasant grove by horse and wagon. My great grandmother was a midwife and so my mother and her brothers and sisters were born in this house. Our house growing up was on the property adjacent to this house so we spent a lot of time in this house. It seems a crime to tear it down....a lot of history.
This was then......
