The sabbath in Ampitatafika, Antananarivo

This is the church building in Ampitatafika. We went to church there today because it is Brady's favorite branch/area. He wanted us to meet the many people that he taught and baptized. After church we walked around for about five hours and visited member families and investigators in their homes. We finished our night off by eating at the branch presidents house. We ate some Malagasy food.

Member family's kitchen.

Soccer ball.... Malagasy kids can't afford a real soccer ball so they find plastic sacks and wrap it up with twine.

This family lives on the top floor. We had to climb the ladder. This family of 7 shares a twin sized bed.

This is a family that Brady found and taught a couple of times before he moved areas. They were all baptized in January.

Almost no one in Mada has running water in their homes. There is one pump in a neighborhood. People line up with their buckets to fetch water. They sometimes have to pay 10 ariary(Half a cent) per bucket. Typically the little girls in the family fetch the water.

This is the house that Brady lived in for over 5 months. He claims it was a lot cleaner when he lived there. We will give him the benefit of doubt.

We took some "Future Missionary" stickers to church and put them on all of the primary children. They all had big smiles on their faces.

I LOVE all the pictures!! The people are beautiful... so happy. And the landscape... amazing. Sonya! I hope your feet weren't killing you after your long walk in church shoes! Also love the picture of you heading up the ladder to the top floor of homes! I bet you are all loving every minute. Take care.
